Implants

- Missing teeth can be replaced by a prosthesis called an implant (dental implant) that is surgically placed.

- The implant is made of titanium and is surgically placed into the jaw bone. Subsequently a "tooth" or crown is placed over it.

- Dental implants are permanent teeth replacements with superior longevity compared to conventional dentures and bridge works.

Wisdom Teeth Removal and other minor surgery

Wisdom Teeth are the third and final set of molars that most people get in their late teens or early adulthood. They are usually impacted or misaligned and do not erupt fully.

Wisdom teeth present potential problems when they are misaligned. Poor alignment of wisdom teeth can crowd or damage adjacent teeth, the jawbone, or nerves. Wisdom teeth that lean toward the second molars make those teeth more vulnerable to decay by entrapping plaque and debris. In addition, wisdom teeth can be entrapped completely within the soft tissue and/or the jawbone or only partially erupt through the gum. Wisdom teeth that only partially erupt allows for an opening for bacteria to enter around the tooth and cause an infection, which results in pain, swelling, jaw stiffness, and fever. They are also more prone to tooth decay and gum diseases because of their hard-to-reach location. This awkward positioning makes brushing and flossing difficult.

We have a highly competent team to do all minor oral surgeries, together with a team of Specialist Oral and Maxillo-facial surgeons to handle the more complex cases at our clinics. We can also arrange for sedation for the more anxious patients.

Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art digital x-rays for instant radiographic diagnosis. We are CPF Medisave accredited so that certain portion or the entire fees of your procedure can be claimed through your (or immediate family's) CPF Medisave account.
